Serie A Femminile

The Serie A Femminile is the highest level of professional women's football in Italy. Founded in 1968, the league became fully professional in 2022 and features many of the country's leading clubs, including Juventus, AS Roma, Inter Milan, AC Milan, Fiorentina, and Lazio.

The Serie A Femminile season runs from autumn to spring, with clubs competing in a league format to determine the Italian champions and qualification for European competitions. Matches are played at stadiums such as Allianz Stadium, Stadio Olimpico, San Siro, Stadio Artemio Franchi, and Stadio Tre Fontane, alongside each club's regular home venue for selected fixtures.

The league is home to many of Europe's leading footballers, including Cristiana Girelli, Manuela Giugliano, Barbara Bonansea, Arianna Caruso, Sofia Cantore, Lindsey Thomas, Emma Severini, and Michela Cambiaghi. Organised by the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) through the Divisione Serie A Femminile Professionistica, Serie A Femminile is one of Europe's leading professional women's football leagues.
