Parma land two young recruits

Double swoop for Parma

Parma have moved to bolster their squad with two young additions ahead of the new campaign. Danish teenager Signe Søndergård arrives from Kolding IF on a deal running until 30 June 2028, while Italian forward Cecilia Cavallin joins on a season-long loan from Juventus Turin for 2026/27.

Søndergård brings Danish pedigree

The 19-year-old began the 2025/26 season at Fortuna Hjørring, featuring in two A-League fixtures and a UEFA Women's Champions League qualifier. A January switch to Kolding saw her appear in all ten championship round matches, netting once, and she added two Danish Cup outings to her tally. In total, Søndergård has racked up 34 competitive club appearances and earned 21 caps for Denmark across the U17 to U19 age groups, as detailed by Soccerdonna.

Cavallin's rapid rise through Italian football

Cavallin spent last season on loan at Bologna in Serie B, registering three goals in 21 matches. Her football journey started at Ceresium Bisustum and Città di Varese before a Serie B debut with Pavia Academy. A move to Chievo Verona proved fruitful - five goals in eleven league outings during the first half of 2024/25 caught Juventus's eye.

The Turin giants signed her in January 2025 and immediately loaned her back to Chievo. Following her productive spell at Bologna, Cavallin returned to Juventus, who extended her contract to 2029. She now heads to Parma to continue her development. On the international stage, Cavallin debuted for the Italian U23 side in April 2025 and received further call-ups during her time at Bologna.
