The Frauen-Bundesliga is the highest level of professional women's football in Germany. Founded in 1990, the league features many of the country's most successful clubs, including Bayern Munich, VfL Wolfsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen, TSG Hoffenheim, and Werder Bremen.

The Frauen-Bundesliga season runs from autumn to spring, with clubs competing in a traditional league format to determine the champion and qualification for European competitions. Matches are played at stadiums such as the Allianz Arena, Volkswagen Arena, Deutsche Bank Park, BayArena, and PreZero Arena, alongside each club's regular home venue for selected fixtures.

The league has been home to many of the world's leading footballers, including Lea Schüller, Klara Bühl, Giulia Gwinn, Alexandra Popp, Pernille Harder, Lena Oberdorf, Laura Freigang, and Jule Brand. Organised by the German Football Association (DFB), the Frauen-Bundesliga is widely regarded as one of Europe's premier women's football leagues and is known for developing elite domestic and international talent.
