Seven-time Italian champion Valentina Cernoia has joined Genoa's Serie B side after leaving AC Milan, signing a deal until 2027.

Genoa have completed the signing of Valentina Cernoia, bringing one of Italian women's football's most decorated players to their Serie B squad. The 35-year-old midfielder, whose deal with AC Milan recently expired, has committed to a contract running until 30 June 2027, Soccerdonna reports.
Cernoia spent six seasons at Juventus Turin before joining Milan in the summer of 2023. In that time she amassed seven Serie A titles, six Coppa Italia crowns, and six Supercoppa Italiana medals. She also helped Juventus reach the UEFA Women's Champions League quarter-finals in 2021/22.
Her last campaign saw her feature in 16 league matches for Milan, starting ten and providing two assists, as the Rossonere finished sixth in the Serie A Women.
Between 2013 and 2023, Cernoia earned 76 caps for Italy, netting 13 goals. She represented her country at the 2019 and 2023 World Cups as well as the 2017 and 2022 European Championships.
