The Women's Super League (WSL) is the highest level of professional women's football in England. Founded in 2010, the league began play in 2011 and features many of the country's biggest clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur.

The WSL season runs from autumn to spring, with clubs competing in a traditional league format to determine the champion and qualification for European competitions. Matches are played at stadiums such as Emirates Stadium, Stamford Bridge, Etihad Stadium, Old Trafford, and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, alongside each club's regular home venue for selected fixtures.

The league is home to many of the world's leading footballers, including Lauren James, Alessia Russo, Lauren Hemp, Vivianne Miedema, Sam Kerr, Khadija Shaw, Mary Earps, and Millie Bright. Sanctioned by The Football Association (The FA), the WSL is widely regarded as one of the strongest and most competitive women's football leagues in the world.
