Manchester City goalkeeper Eve Annets is swapping the Etihad for Edinburgh after sealing a season-long loan move to Hibernian. The deal is subject to international clearance, but the young stopper is expected to slot straight into the Scottish Women's Premier League side's plans.
Annets, an England youth international, arrived at Manchester City in the summer of 2024 from Reading, already earmarked as one of the country's brightest goalkeeping prospects.
She didn't hang about. The first half of the 2024/25 campaign saw her loaned to Portsmouth, where she racked up 11 appearances. Then came the inaugural World Sevens Tournament in the summer of 2025 - not a bad addition to the CV.
Last season she turned up at Crystal Palace, helping the club earn promotion to the Barclays Women's Super League. Quite the collection of stamps in the passport for someone still in the early stages of her career.
Hibernian finished fourth in the SWPL last term and clearly fancy climbing higher. Adding a goalkeeper with Annets' pedigree and experience should help that cause, as OneFootball reports.
Manchester City have wished her well for the Scottish adventure. Safe to say she won't be short of things to do.
