Rio Hardy doesn't do quiet seasons. The Bristol City forward banged in 10 goals and chipped in with an assist across 18 starts in the BWSL2 last term - comfortably her finest campaign yet.
Over the past two seasons, she's been one of the division's most reliable goal threats. Now, she's primed for even more.
Under coach Charlotte Healy, Bristol City finished fourth in the BWSL2, rattling in 47 goals from 22 matches. They created the second-highest number of Big Chances in the entire league. Not bad at all.
With Lexi Lloyd-Smith moving on, there's a vacancy at the top of Bristol City's attack - and Hardy is the obvious candidate to fill it. The club have kept hold of the key contributors behind last season's offensive firepower, as WSL Football reports.
Here's a fun quirk: Hardy scored most of her goals on the road last season. Bristol City face three away fixtures in their opening five games. The maths does itself.
