Nottingham Forest have landed Chelsea shot-stopper Katie Cox on a season-long loan, making her the club's eighth summer signing. Not bad for a Wednesday in August.
The 20-year-old arrives fresh off penning a new three-year deal at Stamford Bridge, so Chelsea clearly rate her - they just fancy lending her out to get some proper game time first.
Cox came through the Chelsea academy ranks and has already featured in first-team matchday squads. She also picked up valuable experience during a previous loan stint at Aberdeen, as WSL Full-Time reports.
On the international front, she's represented England at Under-23 level - so she's no stranger to pressure.
Cox herself sounded thrilled about the move, praising Forest's coaching setup and expressing a keen desire to learn from the goalkeepers already at the club. She also made clear she wants to make her mark between the posts this season.
Forest fans will hope signing number eight proves to be a lucky one.
