Newcastle United's Jasmine McQuade is off to Scotland. The 23-year-old midfielder has completed a season-long loan move to Hibernian, the reigning Scottish Women's Premier League champions.
Not a bad destination for a change of scenery, is it?
McQuade came through Newcastle's development setup and broke into the senior side during the 2022/2023 campaign. Since then, she's racked up 68 appearances across all competitions - playing a key role in back-to-back promotions through the FA Women's National League.
Now she fancies a crack at Scottish football with last season's title winners.
The midfielder hasn't hidden her enthusiasm. McQuade described the move to Hibs as a brilliant chance to push her career forward, as reported by WSL Full-Time.
Hibernian lifted the SWPL trophy in 2024/2025, so McQuade will be joining a squad with serious pedigree. If she brings the same energy that powered Newcastle's double promotion run, Hibs fans should be rather pleased.
