Belgian defender Sari Kees has left Leicester City to sign a three-year contract with Ajax on a free transfer.

Belgian defender Sari Kees has completed her move to Ajax, putting pen to paper on a three-year deal. The 25-year-old arrives on a free transfer after two seasons at Leicester City - seasons that ended rather painfully with relegation.
Kees racked up 31 appearances during her time at Leicester, having initially joined from Belgian side OH Leuven, where she wore the captain's armband. She's also a full Belgium international, which never hurts a CV.
Ajax technical manager Dolf Roks was clearly chuffed with the signing. He praised Kees as an intelligent defender who reads the game well and contributes beyond simply stopping attacks, as WSL Full-Time reports.
Kees will now ply her trade in the Eurojackpot Vrouwen Eredivisie. After the sting of relegation with Leicester, a new chapter in the Netherlands might be exactly what the doctor ordered.
