Hamburger SV have wrapped up their goalkeeping plans for the new campaign by bringing in Polish international Kinga Szemik. The 29-year-old arrives as the second shot-stopper recruited this window, following the earlier addition of Jule Baum.
Szemik heads to Hamburg off the back of a productive spell at West Ham United, where she racked up 45 appearances in the Women's Super League across two seasons. Her CV stretches well beyond England - she has previously plied her trade in both the USA and France, as Kicker reports.
The keeper made no secret of her enthusiasm for the move, expressing a desire to continue her development and make a meaningful impact at her new club. She has pledged to give everything in the season ahead.
Fans won't have long to wait for a first glimpse. Szemik is in line to make her competitive bow on 23 August when HSV host SC Freiburg at the Volksparkstadion.
