Durham have landed experienced forward Olivia Fergusson from RCD Espanyol as their summer rebuild gathers pace.

Durham have snapped up 31-year-old striker Olivia Fergusson from Spanish side RCD Espanyol, where she clocked up three Liga F appearances during the 2025/2026 campaign.
Fergusson's CV reads like a football geography lesson. She's turned out for Aston Villa, Bristol City, Yeovil Town, Sheffield United, Leicester City, Coventry United, and Wolverhampton Wanderers in England. Throw in stints at Celtic in Scotland and Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand, and you've got a player who knows her way around an airport.
A former England youth international, Fergusson said she's buzzing to be back on home soil. She described herself as direct and aggressive - the kind of forward who doesn't shy away from defensive duties either.
Fan support, she noted, will be crucial for the season ahead. Wise words from someone who's experienced plenty of different crowds, as reported by WSL Full-Time.
Fergusson becomes Durham's fourth summer signing, as the club continues to strengthen ahead of the new campaign.
