Austrian defender Michela Croatto has ended her Hamburger SV spell early after an injury-hit campaign limited her to just six appearances.
Austrian defender Michela Croatto has cut short her time at Hamburger SV, requesting an early release from her contract after a single season blighted by injury.
The 24-year-old arrived from RB Leipzig ahead of the 2025-26 campaign but suffered a setback during pre-season preparations that sidelined her for months. She did not make her competitive bow for HSV until February 2026.
Croatto managed just six appearances in total, though she did force her way into the starting line-up for the final three fixtures of the season. It was not enough, however, to convince her that her future lay in Hamburg.
The decision to leave was made on personal grounds, Soccerdonna reports.
Christoph Rohmer, HSV's Director of Youth Development and Sports Strategy, said the club was disappointed to see Croatto go. He praised her dedication during a difficult period and wished her all the best moving forward.
