BSC Young Boys have landed Ghanaian forward Josephine Bonsu from FC Carl Zeiss Jena on a contract until 2028.
BSC Young Boys have completed the signing of Josephine Bonsu from FC Carl Zeiss Jena, securing the 26-year-old forward on a deal running until 2028.
The Ghanaian international brings pace, athleticism, and wing versatility to her new club - qualities that made her a standout performer during her time in German football, Soccerdonna reports.
Bonsu came through the youth ranks at 1. FC Lübars and 1. FC Union Berlin before featuring for Union Berlin's senior side and Türkiyemspor Berlin. Her move to FC Carl Zeiss Jena in 2022 proved transformative.
In Thuringia, she nailed down a regular starting spot and played a key role in the club's promotion to the Bundesliga. Across 85 competitive appearances for Jena, she found the net 16 times.
Beyond her club career, Bonsu has represented Ghana at senior level, earning five caps. That international experience adds another dimension to a player already well versed in top-flight and second-tier German football.
