Weerden created 61 chances across the campaign, the second-highest tally in the division. That kind of output powered Palace's promotion charge and earned her a nomination for BWSL2 Player of the Year. The club went one further, handing her their Player of the Season award.
Operating on the left in a 3-4-1-2 setup, she enjoys freedom to bomb forward and deliver for the strikers. Defenders, frankly, don't enjoy it at all.
Weerden arrived from Ajax in August 2024 and has clearly taken to life in SE25. She recently signed a contract extension - and promptly celebrated by scoring in a pre-season friendly against Oxford United. Show-off.
