Safia Middleton-Patel is heading to Watford again. The goalkeeper has sealed a season-long loan move from Manchester United, becoming the club's 11th summer signing in what's shaping up to be a busy window.
It's not exactly uncharted ground for the shot-stopper. Middleton-Patel spent the second half of the 2023/2024 campaign with Watford, racking up six appearances and two clean sheets. Clearly, they liked what they saw.
A graduate of Manchester United's academy, Middleton-Patel penned her first professional deal at Old Trafford in 2023. She's since built up her CV with loan stints at Blackburn Rovers, Leicester City, and Coventry United - not a bad collection of stamps in the passport.
On the international front, the keeper has 12 senior caps for Wales, as reported by WSL Full-Time. At her age, there's plenty of runway left to add to that tally.
