Crystal Palace have snapped up veteran goalkeeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin on a season-long loan from Denver Summit of the American National Women's Soccer League. The 34-year-old becomes the club's seventh summer signing - and arguably the most decorated.

A CV That Speaks Volumes

This isn't Peyraud-Magnin's first rodeo in English football. She spent two years at Arsenal between 2018 and 2020, during which the Gunners clinched their most recent WSL title. Not a bad stint, that.

Her career reads like a European football tour. Stints at Lyon, Issy, Saint-Étienne and Marseille in France came before her Arsenal move. After north London, she headed to Atlético Madrid, then Juventus - where she hoovered up five domestic trophies - before crossing the Atlantic to Denver Summit.

Oh, and she won the UEFA Women's Champions League with Lyon. She's also earned 76 caps for France. Casual.

Buzzing to Be Back

Peyraud-Magnin made no secret of her enthusiasm about returning to England, calling it a brilliant opportunity to compete in what she considers the best league in the world. South London glamour clearly has its pull.
