Roma snap up Dutch midfielder

AS Roma have completed the signing of Kayleigh van Dooren from Serie A Women rivals AC Milan. The 26-year-old Dutch midfielder has penned a deal with the capital club running until 2029, as Soccerdonna reports.

One productive season in Milan

Van Dooren spent just a single campaign at Milan but made her mark. Across 18 Serie A Women appearances she bagged seven goals and an assist, adding another strike in the Serie A Women's Cup.

A decorated Dutch career

Before crossing to Italy, Van Dooren built her reputation entirely in the Netherlands. She broke into the Eredivisie with PSV in 2018 before switching to FC Twente, where silverware arrived in bunches - three league titles and a historic national treble in 2024/25.

International pedigree

A Dutch youth international since 2014, Van Dooren earned her senior debut in February 2022 against Finland. She has five senior caps to her name, the most recent coming in December 2025 against South Korea.
