Groenen commits to PSG until 2029

Dutch midfielder Jackie Groenen has penned a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain that will keep her at the club until 2029, as reported by Soccerdonna. The 31-year-old's extension underlines PSG's commitment to building around proven, experienced figures.

A well-travelled career

Groenen's journey through football has taken her across Europe. She started out at VV Riel before spells with SG Essen-Schönebeck, FCR 2001 Duisburg, FC Chelsea and 1. FFC Frankfurt. A move to Manchester United in 2019 saw her establish herself as a key presence in midfield, and she made the switch to Paris in 2022, where she has been a consistent contributor ever since.

International pedigree

Groenen made her senior debut for the Netherlands in 2016 and quickly became a fixture in the squad. She played a part in their triumphant European Championship campaign in 2017 and helped the side reach the 2019 World Cup final, where they fell to the USA.
