Charlton Athletic have snapped up French forward Lorena Azzaro on a season-long loan from Paris FC. She becomes the club's fifth summer signing - and arguably their most intriguing.
The 25-year-old bagged eight goals in 20 appearances in the French top flight during the 2025/2026 campaign. Not bad for someone who's about to sample the Barclays Women's Super League for the first time, as WSL Full-Time reports.
Azzaro joined Paris FC from RC Strasbourg and has spent her entire career in France until now. She's also pulled on the shirt at Under-20 level for Les Bleues.
Swapping one capital for another clearly appeals. Azzaro said she's buzzing to meet the staff, teammates and fans, and can't wait to soak up the atmosphere in London.
Charlton are clearly not hanging about this window. Azzaro is their fifth addition, and the transfer business suggests serious ambition heading into the new season.
