The contest was finely poised at the break, with the Aces clinging to a slim 48-47 advantage. What followed was utterly ruthless. Las Vegas unleashed a 16-0 run in the third quarter, then opened the fourth with a 12-2 burst to blow the game wide open at 87-65.
Cheyenne Parker-Tyus delivered a huge impact off the pine, tallying 18 points and nine rebounds. The Aces dominated the glass throughout, out-rebounding Connecticut 40-23.
Connecticut's 19 turnovers proved fatal, gifting the Aces 28 points. Olivia Nelson-Ododa led the Sun with 14 points, though 12 of those came before half-time. Kennedy Burke and Leila Lacan chipped in 11 apiece, with Charlisse Leger-Walker adding 10.
The Sun travel to Los Angeles on Saturday, while the Aces host Toronto on Sunday.
