Goal machine heads south

Durham FC have snapped up prolific forward Bayley Hutchison from Hearts on a permanent deal - and rival defences should be worried.

The 22-year-old arrives fresh from helping Hearts clinch their first-ever Scottish Women's Premier League title. Not a bad parting gift.

Numbers that speak for themselves

Hutchison bagged 27 goals across two seasons at Hearts, but her scoring pedigree stretches further back. During a previous stint at Aberdeen, she topped the SWPL scoring charts in 2023/2024 with a remarkable 28 goals.

She's also turned out for Scotland at Under-23 level, adding international experience to an already impressive CV.

Versatility is the key

What makes Hutchison particularly appealing is her flexibility. She can lead the line up front or drop deeper to support the defensive effort - the kind of player managers dream about, as WSL Full-Time reports.

She becomes Durham's sixth summer signing and will link up with the squad for the final stages of pre-season preparation.
