She left as a teenager. She's back as a legend. Jenni Hermoso has put pen to paper on a deal with Atlético Madrid that runs until 30 June 2027 - her third stint at the club where it all began.
The 36-year-old forward, Spain's all-time record goalscorer, returns to the red and white after a spell with Tigres in Mexico, Soccerdonna reports.
Hermoso's time at Tigres was hardly quiet. She rattled in 16 goals and added two assists across 38 league matches last season, though she sat out the Apertura 2026 entirely.
Hermoso joined Atlético's academy aged twelve and stepped into the first team in 2006. Since then? Rayo Vallecano, Tyresö FF, FC Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain - she's collected clubs like stamps.
Her 2018/19 campaign at Atlético was something special: 24 goals in 28 league outings and a Spanish championship to boot.
Capped 125 times for Spain since her 2012 debut, Hermoso has netted 57 international goals. She lifted the 2023 World Cup trophy and added back-to-back UEFA Women's Nations League titles in 2024 and 2025.
