History at the Nou

Barcelona's women are bringing the Clasico to the big stage. The club will welcome Real Madrid to Spotify Camp Nou on October 4 - the first time the women's fixture has been held at the iconic ground as a league match.

A step up from the usual

Normally, the women's side play at the modest Estadi Johan Cruyff. This one's different. Matchday six of Liga F will see them swap surroundings for something far grander.

They've been here before - sort of

Camp Nou isn't entirely unfamiliar territory. Last season, Barcelona hosted Real Madrid there in the Champions League and demolished them 6-0. A statement, to put it mildly.

Record-breakers

Barcelona already hold the all-time women's football attendance record: 91,553 fans packed into Camp Nou in 2022 for a Champions League semi-final against Wolfsburg. Whether they can get close to those numbers again remains to be seen, as OneFootball reports.
