Kim blazes through TPC Boston

Sei Young Kim has stormed to the top of the FM Championship leaderboard. Her opening-round 8-under 64 at TPC Boston was nothing short of ruthless.

The damage came on the back nine. A chip-in eagle and four birdies across a blistering six-hole stretch left the rest of the field scrambling.

Rivals already under pressure

Miyu Yamashita and Emily Kristine Pedersen sit just one shot back. Yamashita - fresh off a win in Edmonton - racked up an astonishing 10 birdies, yet a double bogey on the par-3 eighth kept her from the outright lead.

Somi Lee posted a solid 66. World number one Nelly Korda? A mediocre 72. Not the start she wanted.

The FM Championship boasts a $4.4 million purse - the richest non-major event on the LPGA Tour. All 10 of the world's top-ranked women are in the field, making Kim's dominant opening statement all the more significant.
