Emina Ekić is swapping the United States for Italy after penning a deal with Parma Calcio that runs until 30 June 2028. The 27-year-old attacker's move comes after a fleeting spell at Houston Dash, where she managed just five NWSL appearances following her arrival from Lexington SC.
Ekić's professional journey began in 2021 at Racing Louisville FC. Across 38 league outings she netted three goals before a loan switch to Melbourne City proved far more prolific - 12 goals in 27 games, as Soccerdonna reports.
Born in Louisville, Ekić chose to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina on the international stage. Since her debut in 2023 she has won 22 caps, scoring five goals - three of which have come in the ongoing World Cup 2027 qualifying campaign. Parma will hope that firepower translates quickly to Italian football.
