Charlton Athletic have completed the signing of Icelandic international attacker Linda Lif Boama on a three-year contract from Kristianstads DFF - their ninth summer arrival ahead of a maiden WSL campaign.

Charlton Athletic are clearly not messing about this summer. The south-east London club have snapped up Icelandic international attacker Linda Lif Boama from Swedish side Kristianstads DFF on a three-year deal.
It's signing number nine of a busy window - and the Addicks will need every one of them as they gear up for life in the Barclays Women's Super League for the very first time.
Boama, 25, cut her teeth in Icelandic football. She came through at HK/Víkingur before stints with Knattspyrnufélagið Þróttur and Víkings Reykjavik. A move to Kristianstads DFF followed ahead of the 2026 OBOS Damallsvenskan campaign.
Now she swaps Scandinavia for south London. Not exactly a lateral move on the weather front, but a massive step up in ambition.
The attacker has earned four caps for Iceland and bagged one goal at senior level, having made her international debut earlier this year. Not a bad CV to bring to a newly promoted WSL outfit, as WSL Full-Time reports.
Charlton have been relentless in the transfer market. Nine summer arrivals suggest they have no intention of making up the numbers in the top flight. Boama's blend of international experience and Scandinavian development could prove a shrewd addition.
