Angel Reese has etched her name into the WNBA record books. The Atlanta Dream forward recorded her 29th double-double of the season - 15 points and 11 rebounds - as her side dispatched the Minnesota Lynx ahead of the World Cup break.
The milestone eclipses the previous mark of 28, held by Connecticut Sun star Alyssa Thomas since 2023. Reese, still only in her young career, shows no signs of slowing down.
Reese wasn't alone in putting on a show. Allisha Gray was electric, pouring in 23 points and 11 rebounds while draining six shots from beyond the arc. Jordin Canada orchestrated the offence with 16 points and 10 assists, and Rhyne Howard delivered a clutch 16-point haul - 12 of those coming in a blistering fourth quarter.
DeWanna Bonner also made her Atlanta debut, chipping in seven points across 17 minutes of action, as ESPN reports.
The win lifts the Dream to 26-14, pulling level with Indiana for fourth. Minnesota remain firmly atop the table at 31-9, holding a 2.5-game cushion over Golden State.
Atlanta return to action on 17 September against the Connecticut Sun, while the Lynx face the New York Liberty a day later.
