FC Bayern München's women made it three Google Pixel Supercup titles after dismantling VfL Wolfsburg 3-0 in emphatic fashion. Klara Bühl was the standout performer, setting up one goal and finding the net twice herself to seal a dominant victory.
Bühl admitted Bayern found the opening stages tricky, with Wolfsburg pressing well and causing problems early on. Spacing issues and poor decision-making on the ball hampered the Munich side initially, but they grew into the contest and ultimately broke the game open through set pieces, as OneFootball reports.
In a twist, Bühl was deployed as a striker in the closing stages - a position she hadn't occupied for some time. With injuries robbing the squad of a natural centre-forward, the Germany international said she was happy to fill in wherever the coach needed her.
Looking ahead to the Google Pixel Frauen-Bundesliga campaign, Bühl warned that Wolfsburg have improved significantly and pose a greater threat than last season. Still, she expressed confidence that Bayern can retain their crown if they sustain this level of performance across the year.
New signing Sophie Proost also caught Bühl's eye. The German praised Proost's dynamism and direct running towards goal, tipping her to make a real impact once she fully adapts to Bayern's playing style.
