Coco Gauff is an American professional tennis player and one of the leading stars of women's tennis. Born on March 13, 2004, in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in Delray Beach, Florida, Gauff emerged as an international tennis star while still a teenager and has become a regular contender at the biggest tournaments on the WTA Tour.
Gauff made her breakthrough at Wimbledon in 2019, when the 15-year-old defeated five-time champion Venus Williams on her way to the fourth round. She later established herself among the world's highest-ranked players, winning her first Grand Slam singles title at the 2023 US Open in New York. In 2024, she added the WTA Finals singles title before winning her second Grand Slam singles championship at the 2025 French Open at Roland-Garros.
Known for her speed, athleticism, powerful backhand, and defensive ability, Gauff competes across the major hard, clay, and grass-court tournaments. Her career includes appearances at the Australian Open, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon, and US Open, as well as major WTA events in cities including Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, Rome, Cincinnati, and Beijing.
