Strode seals Serie A move

American forward Courtney Strode has completed a transfer to Ternana Women, penning a deal that runs until 30 June 2027. The 28-year-old arrives in Italy's Serie A Women off the back of an impressive campaign with Austria Wien.

A trophy-laden season in Vienna

Strode featured 22 times in the Austrian Women's Bundesliga last term, finding the net four times. Across all competitions she racked up 37 appearances and ten goals, playing a key role as Austria Wien clinched both the league title and the ÖFB-Cup while reaching the quarter-finals of the UEFA Women's Europa Cup, Soccerdonna reports.

Prolific spell in Switzerland

Prior to her time in Austria, Strode enjoyed two separate stints at BSC YB, amassing 105 appearances and an outstanding 74 goals. She topped the Swiss league scoring charts in both 2023/24 and 2024/25.

Her European journey began in 2016 with Sweden's Växjö DFF before spells at KIF Örebro, AS Saint-Étienne and Arras FCF in France. She first joined YB in 2020.
