Wings dominate with explosive third quarter

Dallas made light work of Connecticut on Sunday night, pulling away emphatically in the second half to seal an 83-63 victory. Jessica Shepard and Arike Ogunbowale both finished with 15 points apiece, but it was the Wings' devastating third-quarter surge that told the real story.

Leading by nine, Dallas called a timeout and proceeded to rip off a 20-2 run that blew the contest wide open, stretching the advantage to 72-45 by the end of the period. The Sun simply had no answer.

Fudd lights it up from deep

Azzi Fudd chipped in 12 points on outstanding shooting from beyond the arc, draining 4 of 5 three-point attempts. The Wings shot 48% from the field overall and connected on 7 of 18 from long range. Paige Bueckers, by contrast, managed just six points - her lowest tally in two years.

Sun's road woes continue

Diamond Miller produced a season-high 22 points in a losing effort, with Kennedy Burke adding 14. But the Sun were badly outmuscled inside, losing the paint battle 46-24. Connecticut wrapped up a gruelling six-game road swing with five defeats, and the absence of leading scorer Brittney Griner - who has now missed 14 games this season - continues to bite hard.
