VfB Stuttgart's women's side have rocketed from regional football to the Bundesliga in just five years, with their top-flight bow set for 23 August.

VfB Stuttgart's women's team are on the verge of making history. Founded just five years ago in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg, the side have climbed through three consecutive promotions to reach the Bundesliga - a meteoric rise by any standard.
The team will call the Gazi-Stadion on Waldau home, a venue with a capacity of nearly 12,000. The club is targeting an average gate of around 2,000, with ambitions to eventually challenge the 4,000 average pulled in by the Stuttgarter Kickers at the same ground.
Fans can pick up season tickets covering all 13 home fixtures for between 80 and 200 Euros. A starter package for the opening three home matches is also available, priced at 20 to 50 Euros.
The campaign kicks off with an away fixture on Sunday 23 August, as OneFootball reports. The first home game follows on Saturday 29 August against the HSV women's side. Every match will be streamed via Magenta Sport and DAZN, while 32 games across the season will air on free-to-air television, including Monday night's marquee fixture on Sport1.
Three straight promotions are one thing - staying up is another. The club have overhauled their roster significantly, bringing in a raft of new faces who offer greater experience and physicality to cope with the step up in quality.
