Women's football has a new trailblazer. Rylee Foster-Inman has packed her bags and swapped Halifax Tides for Everton, becoming the first player ever to jump directly from the Northern Super League to England's Women's Super League.

Foster-Inman is no stranger to racking up air miles. She kicked off her career at West Virginia University before signing with Liverpool in 2020. Her WSL debut came in 2021 - the same year a serious car accident threatened to derail everything.
She bounced back via Wellington Phoenix, proving that resilience might be her strongest skill. Now she's heading to Merseyside once more, this time in royal blue.
This is exactly the kind of story the Northern Super League dreams about. The league wants to prove that Canadian players can develop on home soil and still catch the eye of top European clubs.
Foster-Inman's move is living proof that the pathway works, as OneFootball reports.
Halifax Tides aren't moping about. Goalkeeper Kirstin Tynan arrives on a short-term loan to cover Foster-Inman's departure. Tynan has been part of the NSL since its launch and was in Vancouver's championship-winning squad in 2025.
