Spanish forward Carla Camacho is swapping the English seaside for Roman sunshine. The 21-year-old will spend the 2026/27 season on loan at Lazio from Brighton & Hove Albion, as Soccerdonna reports. No purchase option has been mentioned.
Camacho arrived at Brighton in summer 2025 from Real Madrid. She racked up 24 competitive appearances and bagged three goals - including her maiden Women's Super League strike against Chelsea in March. Not bad for a debut season.
The striker cut her teeth at Orcasitas before joining Atlético Madrid in 2012. She switched allegiances to Real Madrid's youth setup in 2020 and earned a first-team promotion three years later. A torn ACL in her left knee in October 2023, sustained while on duty with Spain's U19s, briefly derailed her progress.
Camacho's trophy cabinet is already impressive. She helped Spain lift the U17 World Cup in 2022 and the U19 European Championship in 2023, finishing as a top scorer in both tournaments. Goals clearly run in her boots.
