For the first time since 2023, the Dallas Wings are heading to the WNBA playoffs - and they have Paige Bueckers to thank for it.
The Wings locked up the eighth and final postseason berth with a commanding 96-78 victory over the Portland Fire, capping off what has been a transformative campaign in Dallas. Bueckers delivered yet another statement performance, posting 22 points and 11 assists for a double-double on the night.
The stat line pushed Bueckers into elite territory. She is now just the third player in WNBA history to record 750 points and 200 assists in a single season, joining Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Plum in that exclusive club.
Averaging 20.6 points per game with exceptional shooting splits, Bueckers is tracking towards a coveted 50/40/90 season - a remarkable feat at any level of basketball.
The turnaround in Dallas has been swift and dramatic. After winning the 2025 draft lottery, the Wings selected Bueckers with the first overall pick. In just her second professional season, she has guided the franchise to 23 wins - their highest total since 2007 - more than doubling last year's tally.
The team is now on pace to set an all-time franchise record for victories in a single season, a prospect that seemed unthinkable just 18 months ago.
