Bose Heads North on Loan

Sunderland AFC Women have snapped up attacking full-back Ria Bose on a loan deal from West Ham United, keeping her at the club until January.

The 19-year-old will pull on the number two shirt - but not just yet. She's a bit busy representing England's Lionesses at the FIFA Women's Under-20 World Cup. Priorities, and all that.

A Well-Travelled Young Career

Bose cut her teeth in the youth setups at Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea before taking a somewhat unexpected detour to Sporting CP in September 2024.

She returned to English football in January 2026, signing for West Ham United. Her Women's Super League debut followed in May 2026 against Manchester City - not a bad stage for a first outing.
