Manchester United looked the most convincing side of the weekend. Ella Toone struck early at Leigh Sports Village, Elisabeth Terland nodded in a header, and Melvine Malard bagged a brace after the break. Leicester City had no answers, as WSL Football reports.
This one had everything. Cornelia Kapocs opened for Liverpool at Anfield, but debutant Ornella Vignola equalised for Everton. Katja Snoeijs then struck in injury time, and Vignola completed a dream hat-trick. Brutal for Liverpool. Glorious for the Toffees.
A tight London derby at Brisbane Road was settled by a single Bethany England penalty after Eveliina Summanen was brought down. Not pretty, but Tottenham won't care one bit.
Brighton and Aston Villa played out a goalless draw at Crawley Town's Broadfield Stadium. Chances came and went for both sides, but neither could find the breakthrough.
