The 20-year-old Canadian winger leaves the University of Wisconsin for Serie A on a deal until 2029.

AS Roma have secured the signature of Ella Ottey, the 20-year-old Canadian winger who arrives from the University of Wisconsin on a deal running until 30 June 2029, as Soccerdonna reports.
The Toronto-born attacker was one of the standout performers in college football. In her final campaign with the Wisconsin Badgers, she started all 22 matches and topped the team's assist charts with seven, earning a place on the Second Team All-Big Ten.
Ottey transferred to Wisconsin in 2023 and wasted no time making an impact, racking up 59 appearances across three seasons. Her sole collegiate goal came in her freshman year against UIC.
Her pathway began with Dixie SC and the Woodbridge Strikers before she joined the National Development Centre Ontario, where she helped clinch the League1 Ontario title in 2022.
Already a full Canada international, Ottey featured at the U17 World Cup in 2022 and the U20 World Cup in 2024. She earned her first senior cap in February 2025 against China and added a second appearance against Taiwan shortly after.
