Dominant display lifts Mystics to seventh straight

Washington's hot streak shows no signs of cooling. The Mystics dismantled the Phoenix Mercury 95-75, extending their winning run to an impressive seven games on the bounce.

Shakira Austin was a force on both ends, posting 19 points and hauling in 11 rebounds. Sonia Citron was equally devastating, matching Austin's 19-point haul on a ruthlessly efficient 7-of-9 shooting night - including 5-of-6 from three-point range - while dishing out six assists.

Depth proves decisive

It wasn't a two-player show. Michaela Onyenwere and Cotie McMahon chipped in 13 points apiece, while Kiki Iriafen contributed 12 points and nine boards. That kind of balanced scoring makes this Mystics side a handful for anyone.

Mercury go cold when it matters

Kahleah Copper top-scored for Phoenix with 15 points, but received precious little support. The Mercury's shooting collapsed across the middle quarters, converting just 12 of 34 attempts in the second and third periods combined - a slump that allowed Washington to pull away decisively.

Both teams are back in action on Tuesday. The Mercury travel to the Galen Center in Los Angeles to take on the Sparks, while the Mystics head to Las Vegas looking to make it eight in a row.
