It was a bruising weekend for two of the Arkema Premier League's biggest names. Paris FC were swept aside 4-1 by Aston Villa, who proved clinical with goals from Kendall, Wilms, Melgard, and Murphy. Oriane Jean-François featured in the Villa starting line-up, with Océane Deslandes coming off the bench.
OL Lyonnes fared little better, going down 1-2 to Eintracht Frankfurt. Vicki Becho pulled one back in the second half, but it was not enough to avoid defeat.
Marseille delivered the standout performance of the day, beating Grenoble 3-1 at home thanks to strikes from Brown, Cosson, and Bourdieu. PSG, meanwhile, were beaten 3-1 by Union Berlin, as Footeuses reports.
Elsewhere, Fleury and Nantes played out a goalless draw, Montpellier shared the spoils 1-1 with Toulouse, and Strasbourg drew 1-1 with Mainz. Saint-Étienne cruised past Auxerre 3-1, while Saint-Malo edged their local derby against Guingamp 1-0.
