Racing Louisville are flying. A 2-1 triumph over Seattle Reign marked their fourth straight victory - a new club record - and Emma Sears was the architect of it all.
It didn't start smoothly. Maddie Mercado put Seattle ahead in the 35th minute, but Louisville hit back through Sears to level before the break. The decisive moment arrived in the 52nd minute when Lauren Milliet whipped in a cross and Sears headed home to complete her brace.
Milliet was instrumental throughout, providing assists on both goals as Louisville's momentum shows no sign of slowing, AP reports.
Elsewhere, Houston Dash delivered a ruthless 5-0 demolition of Chicago Stars. Kat Rader bagged a brace to cement her position as the team's leading scorer this season.
Rookies made their presence felt too. Ullmark found the net on a day she was also named to the U.S. Under-20 Women's World Cup squad - a fitting way to celebrate the call-up.
