The Canadian forward's ACL tear on 19 July has cut short a promising start to her Chicago Stars career, with the ex-PSG star now facing months on the sidelines.
Canadian international Jordyn Huitema has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after tearing her ACL, as reported by Footeuses. The devastating blow came on 19 July, just two weeks after a standout performance.
Huitema, who joined the Chicago Stars in 2026 and wears the number 99 shirt, had been in fine form. She netted twice in a crucial clash against Utah on 5 July, making the timing of this setback all the more cruel.
The forward spent three seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, where she collected a league title and a French Cup. She also claimed an Olympic gold medal representing Canada - a career highlight by any measure.
Her move to the NWSL came in 2022 when she signed with OL Reign, before making the switch to Chicago this year.
Huitema isn't alone in her misfortune. San Diego's Trinity Armstrong, just 18, has suffered the same injury, adding another name to a growing and worrying list of ACL casualties this season.
