Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd has been ruled out for the remainder of the WNBA season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on her right knee. The franchise confirmed the procedure, dealing a significant blow to their roster.
Away from the court, Fudd and fellow basketball star Paige Bueckers have publicly confirmed their romantic relationship in an upcoming Apple TV documentary, "The Dynasty: UConn Huskies," which drops on Friday.
Fudd addressed the revelation directly: "Paige and I are a couple, and everyone close to us that was important knew, but it was kind of one of those things ... It's just, it's private." She stressed the relationship was never a secret - simply something the pair chose to keep out of the spotlight.
Bueckers, for her part, described Fudd as "sweet" and "genuine," praising her caring personality.
Bueckers recruited Fudd to UConn back in 2019, and when Fudd arrived on campus in 2021, a spark ignited between the two. They lived together as roommates during their college years before hints about their relationship began surfacing on social media in mid-2025.
The clearest signal came in June 2025, when Fudd shared an image of a phone case reading "Paige Bueckers' girlfriend." Since then, the couple have been spotted together at games and have never denied their relationship when asked.
