Decade-long journey pays off

Grace Collinson has put pen to paper on her first professional deal with Durham - and honestly, it's been a long time coming.

The 18-year-old forward has been part of the Wildcats setup for close to ten years, working her way through the youth ranks before breaking into the senior squad last season.

Making her mark in WSL2

Collinson wasted no time once she got her chance. She racked up 11 appearances in Barclays WSL2, winning a dramatic last-minute penalty against Portsmouth and chipping in with an assist against Ipswich Town, as WSL Full-Time reports.

Not bad for a teenager finding her feet at senior level.

With the professional contract now sealed, Collinson will continue her development at the club she's called home since childhood. Durham are expected to share further squad updates in due course.
