Nighswonger Heads Stateside

Bay FC have snapped up US international Jenna Nighswonger from Arsenal, handing the 25-year-old defender a deal running through to 2028. After roughly eighteen months bouncing between Aston Villa and Arsenal, she's clearly had her fill of British weather.

A CV That Speaks for Itself

Before crossing the Atlantic, Nighswonger starred for Gotham FC in the NWSL between 2023 and 2025. She helped Gotham clinch the championship and scooped Rookie of the Year honours in 2023 - not a bad opening act. She then added an Olympic gold medal with the US team in 2024, because why not?

Coach Coates Is a Fan

Bay FC head coach Emma Coates was positively glowing about the signing, as reported by Soccerdonna. She highlighted Nighswonger's quality on both sides of the ball, praising her character and football intelligence. Expect big things, apparently.
