Former Invicta FC and LFA competitor Ashley Nichols has died at the age of 37, prompting an outpouring of tributes from across the MMA community.

The mixed martial arts community is reeling after the death of Ashley Nichols, who competed in both Invicta Fighting Championships and Legacy Fighting Alliance during a career that saw her face some of the sport's most accomplished fighters.
Invicta FC confirmed the news via social media. No cause of death has been disclosed.
Former coach Jeff Harrison took to Instagram to honour Nichols, calling her a vibrant champion and a decorated muay thai professional. He praised her striking ability, courage, and resilience, and extended condolences to her loved ones.
Angela Hill, who shared the ring with Nichols in muay thai competition, spoke of the bond they forged as opponents, expressing deep sadness at the loss, Sherdog reports.
Nichols finished with a professional MMA record of 7-4. Her final bout took place in November 2023, a matchup with Kyna Sisson at a BTC Promotions event in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
Over the course of her career she tested herself against several UFC veterans, among them Randa Markos, Mallory Martin, and Jaqueline Amorim.
