German sides land Europa Cup draws

VfL Wolfsburg and Eintracht Frankfurt have learned their opponents for the second qualifying round of the Europa Cup, as Soccerdonna reports.

Wolfsburg have been paired with Austrian outfit Sturm Graz, while Frankfurt face Icelandic side FH Hafnarfjördur - manageable ties on paper for both Bundesliga clubs.

Both teams will host their opening legs on 23 September, with the return fixtures set for the following week.

How they got here

Neither side wanted to be in this competition. Frankfurt were knocked out of Champions League qualifying by Paris Saint-Germain, while Wolfsburg fell to Inter Milan - painful exits that redirected them into the Europa Cup pathway.

What's at stake
