Spanish defender Judit Pujols has parted ways with VfL Wolfsburg after just a single season, with the club agreeing to terminate her contract ahead of schedule. The 21-year-old pushed for the move, seeking greater playing time elsewhere, Soccerdonna reports.
Pujols arrived in Germany from FC Barcelona in the summer of 2025 but struggled to nail down a regular starting spot. She featured 19 times in the Bundesliga, finding the net once, and added two DFB-Pokal outings and three UEFA Women's Champions League appearances - 24 competitive matches in total.
The defender joined Barcelona's youth set-up back in 2019, progressing to the second team for the 2022/23 campaign before eventually stepping up to the senior squad. She featured across league, cup and Champions League fixtures, and captained the B team in her final season at the club.
Pujols boasts a glittering record with Spain's youth sides. She was part of the squad that lifted the U17 World Cup in 2022 and claimed successive U19 European Championship titles in 2023 and 2024 - wearing the armband for the latter triumph. Most recently, she represented Spain at U23 level.
