Fernandes takes top honour

Manchester United's skipper Bruno Fernandes has scooped the men's PFA Players' Player of the Year gong for the 2025/26 campaign. Not bad for a man whose main hobby appears to be shouting at referees.

Manchester City striker Bunny Shaw claimed the women's award after firing her side to the Women's Super League title. Peers have spoken - and they picked a winner.

Rising stars recognised

Manchester City's Nico O'Reilly landed the men's Young Player of the Year prize, while Arsenal's Olivia Smith nabbed the women's equivalent. Youth, it turns out, is not wasted on the young.

EFL winners

Hayden Hackey - formerly of Middlesbrough, now at Everton - earned the Championship award. Dom Ballard, who swapped Leyton Orient for Bristol City, took the League One honour. Aaron Drinan of Swindon completed the set with the League Two prize, as reported by Sky Sports.
